Little Chopin School of Music is proud to announce our flagship annual showcase: the 2027 Lunar New Year Recital, taking place on Saturday, January 23, and Sunday, January 24, 2027. Hosted in Garden Grove during the weekend leading up to Lunar New Year, this festival celebrates the artistic achievements of our students and the vibrant spirit of the Little Saigon community.

Honoring Cultural Heritage & Expression

Rooted in Garden Grove, near the heart of the Little Saigon area, Little Chopin proudly serves a diverse community of music lovers and a large Vietnamese-American student body. The Lunar New Year Recital is our most cherished tradition, offering a platform where culture and music intertwine seamlessly.

Cultural Garb & Formal Wear: Performers are invited to wear traditional garments—such as the Vietnamese Áo dài—or formal concert attire as they take the stage.
Beloved Seasonal Classics: Repertoire options include timeless Vietnamese festive and folk compositions by legendary creators like Phạm Đình Chương (Đón Xuân), Văn Phụng (Xuân Họp Mặt), and Nhật Bằng (Khúc Nhạc Ngày Xuân).
Global Traditions & Masterworks: True to our namesake, we celebrate musical heritage across all backgrounds—welcoming students to perform Chopin waltzes, classical masterworks, modern pop arrangements, and cultural pieces from around the world.

A Legacy of Artistic Growth

Building upon our past multi-program Lunar New Year events and recent weekend recitals, the 2027 showcase highlights the hard work of our entire school community—from young beginners taking the stage for the first time to decorated competition victors and MTAC Certificate of Merit and IMPEC honorees.
